“Lover” coincided with the second part of Dan Reed Network’s support slot on the Rolling Stones’ Urban Jungle Tour and a small headline tour of the UK.

A double A-side with the newly recorded cover of Pink Floyd’s “Money” which was eventually to appear on “The Heat” album.

This was the fifth single to be released during the lifetime of the ‘Slam’ album

The Cassette Single features both tracks on each side.

The single just missed the UK Top 40, peaking at #45

The video for “Lover” was shot at UK stadiums on DRN’s support slot to the Rolling Stones.
