After over 3 years of waiting, Dan Reed returns in 2004 with the Sharp Turn EP - an exclusive digital-download only release.

There is no sign of G-13, or even Odyssey - it is simply Dan Reed.

The music is a continuation of the ambient electronic sounds Dan Reed created as Odyssey at the Portland nightclub, Ohm.

The only song carried over from earlier recorded sessions is Heaven - a beautiful drift away ballad. However, this new version has had some extra sounds added which take away from the original's beautiful simplicity. The original version can be found here and here

Unfortunately, one other track from those earlier sessions has been left off the EP - the simply amazing 'Anywhere But Here'

Personally, I find three of the songs to be a bit 'same-y' on first listen. I'm going to have to listen some more.

My favorite is Diva - edgy, dark, and hypnotic.
