Melvin plays on all tracks

I went to see Stevie Salas Colorcode on this tour at the Garage, Highbury, London (where the last ever DRN gig was) and was amazed and delighted to see Melvin up on stage as part of the touring band. It was a fantastic gig

Three cover songs were included as part of the set - James Brown's 'Sex Machine', Nirvana's 'Drain You' and KISS' 'Detroit Rock City' - I was fresh from having seen KISS on their reunion tour, and had the fantastic opportunity to go backstage as my then place of work (Madame Tussaud's Rock Circus) had hosted the KISS museum and a KISS press conference - I was responsible for the operational details for the latter

Stevie Salas on touring with Melvin in the band:

"During the '96 Japan tour I recorded a few shows. I felt that I had a great touring band with Brian, Melvin and Rei, so I wanted to capture some of it live. The recordings were crude using an eight track but the energy of the band was all there. I was so glad that I had a band that could pull of this song (a cover of Nirvana's 'Drain You'). I couldn't have done it with the '94 tour band. This band was raw and powerful. Being on stage with them reminded me of my early days with Winston and CJ (the original Colorcode)."
