Nope - not Cover Versions by Dan Reed Network - but
rather covers of Dan Reed Network songs - did you know there were
any ? How about a goth version of 'Ritual' and an instrumental 'Forgot
To Make Her Mine' ?

A fascinating cover version - this really surprised
me - I was expecting a thrash metal group - but got goth instead.
It's like the Sisters of Mercy doing a Dan Reed Network song. the
music is actually very faithful to the original and is layed over
with Goth vocals. Meridian were an Australian goth group and broke
up soon after recording this. This track is only available on this
compilation.
Would you like an MP3 of this to appear on the site
? Let me know.
Forgot To Make Her Mine - Neil Zaza (USA)
[Unknown]
Release Date : 2002 (Hopefully)
1. Forgot To Make Her Mine
Okay, so this hasn't been released yet but it is going
to be awesome. Neil Zaza, melodic instrumental rock guitarist, has
recorded a cover of 'Forgot To Make Her Mine'. And - the backing
musicians are a certain Blake Sakamoto, Daniel Pred, Brion James
and Melvin Brannon. Sound familiar ?
Neil is a huge Dan Reed Network fan; he met Blake
when they worked together on Neil's solo album 'Thrills & Chills'
I have chatted with Neil about this project - see
the interview in the media
section.
All that's waiting to be done is for the song to be mixed by Neil
and Blake.
I've been lucky enough to hear a rough cut of the song (Thanks Neil)
and I can tell you that it really really rocks. The arrangement
is different and it even finishes with live strings. Neil is hoping
to get Dan to add the intro line 'Hey Neil, Gimme some of that there
guitar' before final mixing
