Notes:
Stevie Salas - funk rocktronic guitar maestro singer
songwriter has amassed a number of albums under his belt. On each
he tends to use a number of musicians. Melvin Brannon recorded and
toured with Stevie between 1996 and 1998.
Melvin plays on all but the first track on this 6
song e.p.
Here's how Melvin got to work with Stevie - the quote
is taken from Stevie Salas' website and is copyright Stevie Salas:
I then phoned my old friend, Melvin Brannon Jr. in
Portland, Oregon. Now I've known Melvin since 1987 when he first
came to L.A. playing bass with the Dan Reed Network. We were both
managed by Bill Graham so over the years we saw each other a lot.
To me, Melvin was always the star of his band and we often talked
of jammin' over the years. His style is a great combination of funk
and old style R&B mixed with heavyness. I knew the Dan Reed
Network had broken up so when I told Melvin about Dave Abbruzzese,
he was in.

Salas' website - this page is about the making of this e.p.
- the above is part of the story
In the sleeve notes detailing the musicians, Melvin
is given a couple of nicknames as in Melvin 'Fry and the Family
Fro' Brannon and Melvin 'Paged and Confused' Brannon
