Exclusive interview with Neil Zaza

Who is Neil Zaza ? And why is he being interviewed for a Dan Reed Network site ?

Neil Zaza is a melodic instrumental guitarist. His connection with Dan Reed Network started after his then band Zaza, opened for DRN in Cleveland in 1988

Neil loved DRN from the moment he heard them and has been a lifelong fan ever since. Following the concert, he became friends with the guys. Blake played on his 1992 album 'Thrills & Chills'

Neil then decided to cover the Dan Reed Network song 'Forgot To Make Her Mine'. He asked Blake if he'd like to join him on it, and Blake suggested getting the rest of DRN to join in

The song was recorded at Portland's White Horse Studio a few years ago

I've been very fortunate to have heard the halfway stage of the track - a rough unfinished mix, and I can tell you that it is simply awesome - a different arrangement, live strings, and an epic finish. The final mix will be done in January 2002 by Neil and Blake Sakamoto. The track will be released on a Neil Zaza CD sometime in 2002
